Cochlear implant programming does not happen in the booth. It happens in a room with a computer, a cable to the processor, a caregiver, and a toddler who has to sit still for impedance checks and then turn her head on cue for threshold levels. This system puts a VRA reinforcer in that room. One HD video monitor and one toy reinforcer share a rolling stand, run from one remote, and roll to whichever room has the child in it.

Use the toy for the head turn when you are setting levels. Use the screen to hold attention through the quiet stretches, or play both at once. When the session ends, roll it out of the way. No computer, no software, and no calibration.

Who it fits

•    Cochlear implant programs that fit and map young children in a programming room rather than the booth.

•    Clinics that want a single-side reinforcer they can bring close to an infant who cannot focus across a room.

•    Hospital audiology departments that move between rooms and cannot mount reinforcers on every wall.

•    Any clinic that wants a second VRA without a second booth.

Two configurations

•    System A: HD video monitor plus an XM-5000 toy unit with two characters, lights, motion, and sound. Two reinforcer formats at one position.

•    System B: HD video monitor plus the Dog center. The dog moves and barks on cue; the screen carries video. A smaller, lighter build for a slim pole.

What you control from the remote

•    Video, toy, or both, on one press.

•    Clip selection on the monitor; sounds, motion, and light patterns on the toy.

•    A timed ON interval, or ALL-ON to run the screen as an occupier during objective measures.

Mounting

The stand is not included. Rolling stands are cheaper and easier to source than to ship, so we give you the specs and you buy the one that fits your room. The monitor and the XM-5000 toy unit are VESA-mount. The Dog center has keyhole mounts only, so for System B choose a pole with a VESA plate at the top and a shelf below for the dog. The buying guide is in the Installation section below.

Pick IR or RF control on this page. IR uses line of sight from the remote to the receiver and is not affected by nearby radio devices. RF needs no line of sight and offers four channels.

Every system includes a 90-day trial, no restocking fee, and a 3-year warranty. Need a purchase order instead of a cart? Send it to info@pehratek.com.
